Built to stand out. Designed to misbehave.

This is not a guitar that was designed to disappear into the background. From its unconventional silhouette to its seriously punchy pickup combination, this Maybury takes familiar ideas and bends them into something distinctly its own.

The body starts with a two-piece Poplar blank, shaped into a hybrid of two iconic designs. The lower bout and flowing contours borrow from the Strat, while the upper bout and unmistakable horns take their cues from the SG.

The result is a familiar shape with a very different attitude.Finished in a deep Blueberry Burst and sealed with a polymer oil finish, the Poplar has a rich, tactile look that lets the character of the wood remain part of the instrument.

The neck is where things get darker. Carved from a single piece of Wenge and paired with an Ebony fretboard, it has a purposeful, understated presence. With a reverse headstock, a 25.5" scale and medium jumbo nickel frets give it the feel and familiarity you'd expect, while still retaining that unmistakable Maybury character.

Then there's the hardware and electronics, a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder in the neck is matched with a Whole Lotta Humbucker at the bridge, a combination that is anything but predictable. Big, muscular and packed with attitude, it's a setup designed to give this guitar a voice of its own.

CTS pots, an Orange Drop capacitor and vintage cloth-covered wiring keep the electronics simple and carefully considered, while Fender locking tuners and a vintage-style tremolo complete the build.

Classic influences. Unusual thinking. One seriously individual Maybury.
