Upscaler review - lovely instrument!
Jason built me an Upscaler to my requirement; S-type Fishhook, twin P-90s, locking tuners, red shoi sugi ban finish.
I picked it up from Maybury HQ; Jason made me feel very welcome and we basically talked guitars for an hour. I was invited to play other guitars through his great selection of amps. Lovely guy.
The guitar he built for me is excellent and so so playable to the extent that I never want to put it down - it's resonant and feels alive. At time of writing I've gigged it twice and it sounds great; tonally flexible (the Black Dove pickups work so well), and really punchy when needed.

After being unable to find what I was looking for from other brands…I decided that a custom built guitar was my best option and discovery Maybury guitars online. Jason worked with me to come up with a design that was within my budget and had all of the features that I was looking for. Being someone with limited technical knowledge of guitar parts, Jason provided me with excellent advise on which parts to go for in order to maximize my budget for the best build. The handmade neck on the guitar was made to my exact specifications, has an increadibly smooth finish and looks fantastic. I am very happy with the build and would thoroughly recommend Maybury Guitars.
