This beautiful Saguaro double cut really does have tone for days!
This guitar is made from a two piece black limba body blank that has been split into a top and body. The body has then been chambered into a semi hollow and bound in white binding.
The neck is made from African wenge and has been paired with highly figured ebony fret board, that is again bound in white binding. The neck only has side markers as the fret board was too nice to add markers to.
From a hardware perspective its packing a custom wound pair of βSunbear Pickupsβ PAFs, they are overwound, giving 10k on the bridge and 8.5k on the neck and they have then been finished in aged nickel. The rest of the hardware is also aged and is all from Gotoh including a lovely set of open back tuners.
It has a set of Bourns push pull potentiometers, giving coil split on the pickups and a Hosco polyester film Capacitor,
The pickups are truly remarkable, covering all bases, they have that classic PAF sound, but are able top really drive an amp because of the more contemporary wind. When combined with the Semi hollow limba body we get something truly remarkable.
