This in your face, bright green Bass guitar doesn’t know if it wants to be the Incredible Hulk or water melon, but one things for sure, it’s definitely making a statement!!!

This was the Maybury Bass prototype and was developed with input from our dedicated social media following. This included body shape, pickguard, the finish type and colour.

It is made from a 2 piece reclaimed spruce body, in this case from floor joists that were left over from a house renovation. The body has then been given one of our distinctive chalk pain finishes which has been paired with a contrasting pink and white marble pickguard.

The neck is an oil finished plain maple with an Indian rosewood fretboard, nickle jumbo frets and 8mm markers made from aluminum and yellow resin.

Pickups are a set of Tonerider Jazz plus single coils that are paired with the usual CTS potentiometers, cloth covered wire and an Orange drop cap.

This was very much an experiment to test the waters, however it was received very positively by the Bass community and is the reason we now offer the Meloca bass along side our six string guitars.
